Roy Charles Adams passed away at his home in Yukon on august 24th, 2010 at the age of 93. He was born July 5th, 1917 in Boston Massachusetts to Alfred and Isabelle Adams. Roy retired after 45 years with Chance Vought - LTV Company in Grand Prairie Texas. Roy achieved several recognition awards and honors in the development and production of military experiential aircraft and missile programs in Connecticut, California and Texas. He assisted in the testing and assembly of the landing craft at Langley Virginia that was used by NASA in the historical moon landings. After retirement he took up cattle ranching in Stroud Oklahoma. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his son Roy Charles Adams Jr. He is survived by his wife, An Thi Adams; son Roger Adams and wife Pat Adams of DeSoto Texas, daughters Jackie McGrath and husband John of Arlington Texas, Dale Roach of Fort Worth, and Diane McDowell and husband Ron of Bedford, Texas; grandchildren James McGrath, Ron Adams, Sharon Peterson, Chris Adams, Cindy Dawson; great grand children Audry, Sara, Tanner, Cole and Carys.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
