John Zucaro, 87, was born March 3, 1924 in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Elna (Willison) Zucaro. He passed away December 15, 2011 in Oklahoma City.
John was a Navy Veteran, serving in World War II. He was a life-long member of the American Legion and was a member of the Iron Workers Local 393 in Aurora, IL. He was a professional roller skater, enjoyed fishing, making jewelry and playing slot machines. John loved to watch old western movies of all kinds and was a big, big fan of the WWE.
John is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Williams of Rockford, IL, Kathleen Cummings of Yukon, OK, Cindy Robeson of Ripley, TN, and Dawn Zucaro of El Paso, TX; sons, John Randolph Zucaro of Golden, MO and Gary Zucaro of NC; sister, Betty A. Dehmlow of Ft. Myers, FL; and more than 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Zucaro, Sr.; step-father, Melvin Henning; and mother, Elna May (Willison) Henning.
There will be no service. A private interment will be held at a later date in Northlake, IL.
Memorials may be made in John's name to the Senior Citizens Association, Dale Robertson Center, Yukon, OK.
