Anthony Jason Kalani Herring, Jr.

Anthony "TJ" Herring Jr. passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 31. He was born an only child to the late Anthony "Tony" Herring Sr. and Taraiza Bennett on January 1, 1993, at the Oakland Army Base hospital in Oakland, CA.

Anthony attended Hamilton High School in Chandler, AZ, from 9th to 11th grades, then graduated from the New Life Christian Academy with his high school diploma. He went on to attend the Art Institute of Phoenix and Mesa Community College.

Anthony loved to make everyone laugh, and he had an infectious laugh as well. He was, in his grandfather's words, "a cool dude." He had a kind heart and a gentle, loving soul. He was a great friend and a shining light to everyone he met, always willing to help anyone in need. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandparents and cousins. He was also a brilliant artist, loving to sketch and draw unusual characters, as well as modify his clothes and shoes with his unique designs. Anthony loved to travel with his mom and explore new places. He also loved sports, especially football. His favorite team was the Oakland Raiders; they will forever be "Oakland" to us.

Anthony is preceded in death by his dad, Anthony "Tony" Herring Sr.; cousins Tiana Wallace and D'ara Bennett. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his mom, Taraiza Bennett; his grandparents Rahiga & Barbara Bennett and Orlandus "Billy" & Marsha Carr; his sister Karsyn Herring; brothers Kameron Herring and Kyren Herring; aunts Trazzia "Tracey" Wallace (William), Zina Bennett, She'Ree Thomas, and Darcelle Jacobs (James)and LaKita Cato; uncles Rahiga "Hodgy" Bennett Jr., John Herring, and Gregory Carr (Isabele); as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many others he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1500 W Vandament Ave., Yukon, OK 73099. Repast to follow at the conference room of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Oklahoma City Yukon, 1520 Garth Brooks Blvd., Yukon, OK 73099
