April Leah Schultz

April Leah Schultz, 74, of Calumet, Oklahoma, passed away on June 15, 2023. She was born on April 7, 1949, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and was the daughter of Leroy "Okie" Gardner and Betty Lorraine Gardner. April was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, partner, and friend who will be deeply missed.

April loved family, friends, and music. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, sunglasses and her favorite drink, White Russians. She was known for her delicious potato soup and deviled eggs, which she generously shared. She was especially proud of her son Eric, who was the apple of her eye. April was ready to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and reunite with her loved ones as a part of that great cloud of witnesses.

April is survived by her son, Eric Miller, his wife Christie and their two children Zack and Emily; brother, David Gardner, wife Jana; uncle, Mike Kelley; partner, Keith Heinley, and his loving family; sister-in-law, Linda Gardner; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Gardner, Sarah Beth Weider, Michael Glass, and Casey Glass; and cousins, Janet Castle, Mark Tyler, and Paige Rouse. April was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Gardner; mother, Betty Gardner; sister, Sherry Blakely; brother, Danny Gardner; niece, Nicole Chaudoin; and cousin, Kim Hinerman.

A celebration of her life service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1500 W. Vandament in Yukon, Oklahoma. A short service of committal will follow at the Rose Hill Burial Park located at 6001 Northwest Grand Blvd. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
