Austin Chase Meiwes

Austin Chase Meiwes, age 27, was born June 29, 1995 and passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK.

A 2015 graduate of Yukon High School, Austin began his career as an electrical apprentice with OESCO on December 2, 2019, where he was still employed at the time of his death. He was also a member of the IBEW Local Union 1141. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and karaoke and dancing and with his friends, but his greatest joy was spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Meiwes and David Sackett.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Henry and Natalie Meiwes of Lookeba, OK and Jeannie and Chris Frizzell of Yukon, OK; siblings:  Ethan (Kristopher) Meiwes, David Frizzell, Wade Frizzell, Kade (Kaylee) Meiwes, Kai (Ian) Deviney, Destiny (Matt) Moxley, Anthony (Anna) Frizzell, and Sheldon (April) Kearby; grandparents, Neva Meiwes, Betty Sackett, Bill and Sharon Frizzell and Steve and Zequeatta Jaques, and great-grandmother, Nola Stark, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022 at the funeral home. Austin's life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, at Yukon First Church of the Nazarene, Yukon, with interment following at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Union City, OK.
