Betty Jo Beardsley

Betty Jo Beardsley (Roach), aged 96, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Yukon, Oklahoma. Born on November 7, 1927, in South Texas, Betty dedicated much of her life to her family and community, both as a personal caregiver and a realtor, touching many lives with her feisty personality, compassion, and professionalism.

Betty loved God and her family with her whole heart. She was passionate about flowers and took great pleasure in gardening and decorating, activities that reflected her love for beauty and nature. Her green thumb and creative touch brought her and countless others great joy. She also had a serious sweet tooth with a tremendous affection for chocolate, cookies and ice cream!

Betty is survived by a loving family, including her son John Beardsley and his partner David Long; granddaughter Tami Was and her spouse Phil Was; grandsons Chris Angelini and Steven Angelini: great-grandson Dakota McCart and his partner Laraine Denney; great-grandson Christian Was and his spouse Breana Was; great-granddaughter Casey Was and her fiancé Tyler Stevenson; and great-great-grandchildren Savannah McCart, Pryor Was, and Harley McCart. She was preceded in death by her parents Wagner and Vesta Roach; brother Sebe Roach; daughters Cynthia (Beardsley) Outhier, Jami Beardsley, and Mary (Beardsley) Angelini; and her great-grandson Phillip Was, Jr.

Yanda & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. A viewing will be held at Yanda & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 12, at 3:00 p.m.

Betty's life was marked by her unwavering faith in God and dedication to her family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
