Betty Lou Faldalen

Betty Faldalen of Yukon, Oklahoma passed on September 1 ^st , 2022, at the Integris Hospice House. Betty Lou Wright was born to Stanley and Alice Wright on September 6 ^th 1937, in Mangum, OK. She was a graduate of Mangum High School and had heart felt ties to the community.  She always shared many wonderful memories of growing up on the family farm, doing chores, running through the fields, fishing in the pond, picking cotton and keeping up with both brothers. Betty's first job was at the dime store in Mangum. She then considered herself fortunate to be hired on at "Ma Bell". She married her life partner, on February 29 ^th , 1956, which was a leap year. She and Oscar then moved to Duncan, Woodward and in 1980 settled in Yukon, but she always considered Mangum home.

Betty was a busy one. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and shopping. She walked miles and miles around the block to stay active and healthy, while listening to her beloved country music. A younger Betty and Oscar were big travelers. They tore up the roads taking Betty's parents too many of the State Parks. They enjoyed going up North to visit family and loved going to family reunions and getting to see everyone. She loved everything about her time at the lake.

Betty's latter years were filled with lunches at the Sr. Center, caring for Oscar, going to the casino, and being with friends and talking on the phone with friends.

Betty lost her loving husband Oscar Faldalen, in March of this year. She was also preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Alice Wright, 1 sister and 2 brothers, and 5 sister in-laws. She was survived by 1 sister in-law, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Viewing will be held at Yanda & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 6 ^th , 2022, from 10:00am to 1:45pm.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 2:00pm at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, Ok.
