Betty Carolyn Fleharty

Betty Carolyn Fleharty of Yukon, OK, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, of natural causes at her home. She was born on May 10, 1935 in Stonewall, OK, to Lloyd & Guy Eula Williams.

Betty married Daryl Fleharty on June 9, 1955. After the two were married, they settled in Yukon to raise their family. In 1962, Betty and Daryl started their family business "Fleharty Glass and Mirror", which was re-established as "Allied Glass, Inc." in 1966. Betty supported her husband as their business began to make a name for itself. Daryl's unexpected death left Betty's son, Danny, to keep the business going. She continued this support up until her passing. Today, "Allied Glass, Inc." is still thriving and achieving success.

Throughout her life, Betty enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, camping, and watching basketball (especially the OKC Thunder). Most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a long-time member of the Yukon Church of Christ, where she enjoyed volunteering for many things. Some of her volunteer work included activities such as Bible study at the El Reno prison, mobile meals, working voting booths, preparing meals for church events, and so much more.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Guy Eula Williams; brother Benny and wife Wylene Williams; sister-in-law Judy Williams; son-in-law Bill Mount; granddaughter Alana McCurdy; and grandson-in-law Matt Rousey. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Mount, Lee Ann & husband Archie Ashcraft, and Leslie Fleharty; son Danny and wife Jan Fleharty; sister Nancy and husband Gary Weathers; brother Wilbert Williams; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends that will miss her dearly.

Viewing will be held at Yanda & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, June 30, 2024, between the hours of 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at South Yukon Church of Christ on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery.
