Betty Jean Kolar

Betty Jean Kolar was born on July 20, 1932, in Oklahoma City, OK to parents Charles and Bessie Sochor. She passed away at age 92 on August 7, 2024, at Spanish Cove in Yukon, OK.

Betty married the love of her life, James Kolar. They had five children together. Being of Czech heritage, she helped make Kolaches for the Yukon Czech Festival. Betty raised chickens and sold eggs for most of her life. She also loved to garden vegetables and flowers. She helped on the farm wherever she was needed. She loved to fish and embroidery.

Betty is survived by son Charles Kolar and wife Myrna of Mustang, daughter Sue Parizek and husband Mark of Yukon, son Tommy Kolar and wife Linda of El Reno, son Jimmy Kolar and wife Phyllis of El Reno, and son Bobby Kolar of El Reno.

Viewing for Betty will be held at Yanda and Son Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2024, between the hours of 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
