Billy Ray Cook

Billy Ray Cook passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born and raised in Beaver, Oklahoma. Billy joined the United States Army, where he had the opportunity to see many parts of the world. While serving in Vietnam, he met his former wife, Bich Cook, and together they started a family.

After his military service, Billy settled in Yukon, Oklahoma, where he raised his family. He worked for more than 40 years with the United States Postal Service before retiring.

Billy was a blessing to all who knew him. His generosity knew no bounds, especially when it came to his grandchildren. He loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them. He also enjoyed exploring the world, playing Scrabble, watching Texas Rangers baseball games, and spending time with his beloved muscle cars. He appreciated an occasional glass of bourbon and a good cigar.

Billy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him and will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his children, Susan Cook-Truelove and her husband, Coy Truelove; Pete Cook and his wife, Lori Cook; and Jimmy Cook. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor and Nathan Holquist; Kelsey Truelove and her husband, Ethan Taylor; Landon, Parker, and Caitlyn Cook; Carmen and Anthony Oliverio; Shaynia and Fredrick Ogburn; Shaliena Cook; Samarah Cook; and SaFierah Cook; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Dustin Oliverio; Selah and Faelynn Briones; and Noah and Eli Ogburn; and brothers, Dick Cook and his wife Pat, and Dale Cook and his wife Debra.

Billy's legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on through all who were fortunate enough to know him.

His life will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Oklahoma.
