Bobby "Bob" Allen DeLong

Bobby “Bob” Allen DeLong passed away on June 16, 2026. Bob was born on July 31, 1941, to Ray and Bernice DeLong of Seiling, Oklahoma.

He attended Seiling schools and, following graduation, enlisted in the United States Army. After serving both overseas and stateside, he was honorably discharged. The next chapter of Bob’s life led him to radio broadcasting, where he became well known for his high school football color commentary. He worked in Guthrie and Guymon before finishing his broadcasting career in Watonga, Oklahoma. Bob was also a devoted fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Bernice DeLong, and his brothers, Don and Tommy DeLong.

He is survived by his niece, Darla Eason of Yukon, Oklahoma; his nephews, Darrel DeLong and wife Katy of Newalla, Oklahoma, Robin DeLong, and Larry DeLong both of Caldwell, Idaho; as well as several great-nephews and great-nieces.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Brumfield Cemetery in Seiling, Oklahoma.
