Bonnie Katherine Bales

Bonnie Katherine Bales of Yukon went to be with her Lord on April 9, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born June 13, 1938, in Perkins, OK to Ella and Samual Curtis. Bonnie graduated from Perkins High School where she was a cheerleader, basketball player and in the band. She Married Jimmy Bales in 1956 and had three children, Terry, Kelly and Renee. They lived in Midwest City before moving to Yukon in 1972.

Bonnie was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd where she sang in the choir and participated in various ministries in the church.

She worked for Steve Bailey Honda and the Yukon Tag Agency. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens, traveling with Jimmie, antiques, and OU football games. She loved attending her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events.

Bonnie is survived by her children Terry Bales and wife Cecilia, Kelly Gatz and husband Cliff, and Renee Hall. She was known as Mammy to her eight grandchildren Sonja, Brian, Craig, Megan, Trisha, Kendra, Cori and Matthew, and eight great grandchildren Bailey, Cheyenne, Jentri, Legend, Jensen, Shelby, Theodore and Raylan.

Memorial services for Bonnie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2024, at United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd, 10928 SW 15th Street, Yukon, OK. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd in Yukon or Russell Murray Hospice of El Reno.
