Carol Sue Hienamen

Carol Sue (Rucker) Hienamen, 74, of Yukon, Oklahoma walked peacefully into the arms of the Lord on August 8th, 2026.

Carol was born on May 21st, 1952 to Millard Andrew and Edith (Kemlock) Rucker in Sabine, West Virginia. Carol graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV in 1971 and later married Bob Hienamen, her husband of 46 years. Bob and “Itty Bit”, as he affectionately called her, moved to Oklahoma and made their home in Yukon. Carol loved gardening and was very proud of her beautiful roses and other flowers. Her other love, besides Mac & Cheese and dessert (especially cool whip), was the Wizard of Oz. She was an avid collector and had rooms dedicated to the movie. She was a devoted long-time member of Sara Road Baptist Church and they rarely missed a service.

She absolutely loved her family and held a special place in her heart for all of them. She was not shy about letting people know how much she loved them or how proud she was of them. Family and friends meant everything to her. Carol “the Subway Queen” (another nickname Bob gave her), retired from her 26-year career from Loves as a Subway sandwich artist in 2017. In her 26-year career, she only missed one day of work from illness.

Carol will be deeply missed by her family, church family, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Hienamen; parents, Millard and Edith Rucker, two brothers, Terry and Eddie Rucker; and three sisters, Debbie Rucker, Cathy Woods, and Sonja Paulley.

Carol is survived by her brother Tom Rucker; her sisters, Edith McComas and Vicky (Fred) Allen, and George Paulley, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be led by Pastor Harold Holt at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 14th at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, OK with burial following at Yukon Cemetery.
