Catherine "Cathy" Elizabeth DeGiusti

Catherine Elizabeth “Cathy” DeGiusti passed away at her home in Yukon, Oklahoma, on August 13, 2026, at the age of 75.

Cathy was born Catherine Elizabeth Miller on December 11, 1950, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Frances Miller and Lloyd Neely Miller. Her father’s work with the Department of Agriculture meant the family moved often before eventually settling in Oklahoma City.

Cathy spent her career in Human Resources and especially enjoyed her many years at Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City, where she made lasting friendships.

Cathy was previously married to Marco DeGiusti, and together they had three children: Christy DeGiusti; Marc DeGiusti and his wife, Michelle; and Jenifer Benson and her husband, Gary. She loved being a mom and especially loved being a grandmother to Neely, Tripp, and Jackson DeGiusti.

Cathy was Catholic and held strongly to her faith and beliefs. She loved her country and was passionate about the rights of the unborn. She was a big Oklahoma City Thunder fan, loved Oklahoma college sports, Facebook, countless games of solitaire, and her beloved cat, Boo.

Cathy had a way of saying exactly what was on her mind, usually with perfect timing and just enough humor to make everyone laugh. She was witty, funny, and fiercely loyal. Most of all, she never failed to tell her family how much she loved them, often sending an evening text just to say, “I love you.”

Cathy is survived by her children and grandchildren; her sisters, Nancy Miller and Patty Ladd and her husband, Richard; and her nephews, Ryan, Reid, and Ramsey Hamm. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Miller and Lloyd Neely Miller.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. Cathy will be cremated.

We will miss her humor, her opinions, her texts, and most of all, knowing that no matter what, Mom loved us and made sure we knew it.
