Cecil David Snider, born September 3, 1950, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Cecil began his military service in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1977. During his time in the service, he also earned his GED in 1972, an accomplishment that reflected his determination and commitment to bettering himself.

Growing up, Cecil and his family traveled from state to state, hauling hay and picking cotton in the fields. After spending time in Colorado and several other states, the family eventually settled in Lawton, Oklahoma, before later moving to Binger, Oklahoma.

Following his military service, Cecil worked as a cross-country semi-truck driver, spending many years traveling the open roads before retiring in 2013. He later worked in the prison system. In retirement, Cecil enjoyed spending time with his wife, working around their farm, and building things together. He found fulfillment in staying busy and working with his hands.

Cecil was united in marriage to Betty Raines in March 2000. Throughout his life, he built lasting connections with family and loved ones, creating memories that will continue to be treasured by those who knew him.

Cecil’s life was one of hard work, dedication, and years spent traveling, working, and building a life with his family. Anyone who knew Cecil knew he was a big jokester; between him and his brother you never knew what they would be up to. Though he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, his memory will live on through the many family members and loved ones whose lives he touched.

Those left to cherish his memory include his nieces and nephews, Daniel and Candy Anthony, Bobbi Snider, and Joseph Cambers; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Taylor Anthony, Carl Anthony, Kerry Hites, and Glenda Anthony and her fiancé, Dalton Metz; his grandchildren, Jaelynn Preston, Alyssa Butler, Brooklynn Sipes, Casidy Klusmeyer, Chassidy Snider, and Katelyn Oglesby; and his great-grandchildren, Cami Turner, Dax Metz, and Beau Metz.

He also leaves behind many more children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly and will miss him tremendously.

Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Betty “Red” Paulette Snider; his daughter, Joni Snider; his two sisters, Glenda Faye Snider and Carolyn Marie Buchanan; his brother, Jimmy Lee Olen Snider; and his parents, Lee Olen Snider and Violet Virginia Farrow.

May Cecil David Snider rest in peace. May his family and loved ones find comfort in one another and in the many memories they will carry in their hearts forever.
