Charles Harlen Boyanton, Jr.

Charles Boyanton, age 83, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1941, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Charles Sr. and Dorothy Boyanton. Charles was 17 when he decided to marry the 15-year-old Gloria. They were married October 2, 1959, in Wichita Falls, Texas, loving each other every day of their marriage.

Charles was a kind and loving person. He enjoyed many activities, but he especially loved time spent outdoors—fishing, shooting, and playing sports. Charles deeply loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild and was happiest surrounded by all of them.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Boyanton; mother and father Charles Sr. and Dorothy Boyanton; in-laws Alice R. (Jenkins) Parks and Cecil T. Parks; son-in-law Jim Stevens; brothers Lester Boyanton, Bobby Boyanton, and Ronnie Boyanton; brother-in-law Joe McMurtrey; and sister-in-law Arlene Boyanton.

He is survived by his daughter Terrie; sons Richard and his wife Susan, Larry and his wife Loree, and Kenneth and his wife Kristi; eight grandchildren Ricky and wife Haley, Katie, Mikayla and husband Conner, Sarah, Madison and fiancé Zach, Kalli, Kenzi, and Kelsi; four great grandchildren Taner, Ronni, Holland, and Hallie; and his great-great-grandchild Damon. He is also survived by sister Carolyn Oltermann; brothers and sisters-in-law Beth, Shirley, Cecil and Linda, Peggy and Kent, Danny and Dickie, and Connie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the First United Church of Yukon.
