Christina "Chris" Clements

Christina "Chris" Clements passed from this life on Thursday, December 11, 2025 in Yukon, OK at the age of 70.

Chris Clements, daughter of Gordon and Mary Helen Prather, was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on September 19th, 1955. Preceding in death, her younger brother Mark Prather was born, Marth 19th, 1957 in Germany. Gordon Prather, her father, received his Geologist degree at OU in Norman, Oklahoma and was 2nd lieutenant in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge in 1961, Gordon and his young family moved to Amarillo, TX beginning his career as a geologist with Pure Oil Co.

This brought Christina to meet the love of her life, Ronald Jay Clements. They became fast friends at 13yrs old which turned into love at 15. Chris proposed to Ron at 17yrs of age by sending him an invitation to their wedding. She was fearless, hilarious, and steadfast in their love. On September 15th, 1973, they began their adventure in life together. Ron, surviving husband of 52 yrs, served in the US Navy beginning in Jacksonville, Florida. Their surviving oldest daughter, Mandy Clements, began their family on June 8th, 1976, in Florida and surviving youngest daughter, Amy Turner, was born on March 9th, 1979, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.

In 1984, the young family made a home, planting roots in War Acres, Oklahoma. While Chris held several titles while working, her most cherished title was Nana or "Nan" by Brock Simpson, her adored surviving grandson born March 3rd, 2003, son of Amy Turner.

Christina was a devote believer in Christ, and embodied love in her every action (Matthew 7:24). An example of such was in warming hearts by crocheting thousands of blankets, scarves, hats, potholders for the homeless and any/everyone. Followed with a hug if allowed.

She was PERFECT. Our world. A beautiful angel on earth, as now for all in heaven.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Kansas Cemetery in Piedmont, OK.
