Christina Alice Schwarz

Christina Alice (Schoelen) Schwarz, 94, died January 6, 2024. She was born June 27, 1929 in Kingfisher, OK to Andrew and Alice (Korstjens) Schoelen. She graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic High School, Okarche, OK in 1947. She married Carlos Conrad Schwarz on March 27, 1951 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche, OK and together they had eight children. The family moved to Yukon in October 1959. She spent her life caring for the family. During the childrens' school years she was active in the PTA at St. John's Catholic School, the Altar Society and assisted with funeral dinners at St. John's Catholic Church. In later years she served as an election monitor and she and Carlos began touring the four corners of the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carlos, her brothers John, Nicholas, George, Gerald and Andrew Schoelen, brothers-in-law, John Coldiron and Bill Buttlar; sisters-in-law, Berniece Schoelen, Shirley Cicalese, Millie Schoelen, and Gerri Schoelen. She is survived by her children Debbie and Phil Story, Marilyn and Kenneth Meyer, Judy and Paul Carpenter, Anita and Rick Howard, Ronald and Tami Schwarz, Ann Barnes, Robert and Sandy Schwarz and Jim and Candy Schwarz;  brother Charles (Marca); and sisters, Mary Ann Coldiron, Johanna Zwingle, Alice Buttlar, Kathleen Schoelen and Loretta Webber and sister-in-law Gayle Schoelen; grandchildren Jill (Story) Paxton (Phil), Daniel Meyer (Sherri), Holly (Carpenter) Jones (K.J.), Jaime (Carpenter) Wilson (Devin), Alissa Howard (Juan Perez), Nicholas Howard (Hanna Traphagen), Megan (Schwarz) Hamil (Chadley), Christopher Schwarz, Ryan Barnes (Hannah), Austin Barnes (Elisabeth Johansen), Andrew Schwarz (Darcee), Katie Schwarz, Evan and Riley Schwarz; and great grandchildren Rory and Ian Paxton, Emma (Meyer) Conner (Ryel), Kassandra (Meyer) Mock (Jonathan), Tristan and Ashlyn Jones, Landon Hamil, Madeline, Isabella and Macklin Schwarz,  Jaxon and Kaden Wilson and Ellis Barnes and great-great-granddaughters Evie Jo Conner and Thea Barnes.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or St. John Nepomuk Catholic School, Yukon, OK. A wake will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2024, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 11, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon with burial following in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
