Clay Alton Symes

Clay Alton Symes, 36, of Yukon, OK, died in Oklahoma City on April 10th, 2024.

Clay was born to Ken Ray and Brenda Symes in Oklahoma City on March 4th, 1988. Clay attended and graduated from Yukon Public Schools.

He was an active member of the Yukon FFA Chapter and showed cattle all over the country with his family. After high school, Clay moved to Stillwater, where he attended NOC Community College for a short while. Clay enjoyed traveling and spent time living in Colorado and New York City.

Clay was a friendly, charismatic, and eclectic person who loved many things in life, including visiting museums, listening to a variety of music, drawing, shopping, reading books, and art. Over the past two years, Clay had found fulfillment in his position at the Goodwill Distribution Warehouse in Downtown OKC.

Clay is preceded in death by his father, Ken Ray Symes, grandparents Glen Dale & Ellarue Symes, Jewel Alton Petty, and Herold Melvin. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Symes; brother Clint and wife Alecia, and their children Heston, Kensley, and Blakely Symes; brother Brent and wife Odessa, and their children Averie and Easton Symes; grandmother Phillis Melvin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A service to honor and remember Clay will be held on April 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, 1500 W Vandament Ave, Yukon, OK 73099, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
