Cynthia Gwin "Cindy" Taylor

Cynthia Gwin (Norris) "Cindy" Taylor was born on August 7th, 1942 to Warren G. and Grace E. Lee Norris of Oklahoma City and went to be with the Lord on September 22nd, 2025. Cindy moved around a bit when she was younger due to her father being in the service, but eventually they settled in Oklahoma City where she attended U. S. Grant High School. She attended college at OU and completed her business degree at OCU. She married Larry L. Taylor on August 30th, 1969 in Oklahoma City. They moved to Crescent, OK where Larry was teaching band, but eventually found their home in Yukon, OK in 1971. She loved being a wife and homemaker, as well as mother to her two daughters. Her greatest joys in life arrived later with her three grandchildren. She found happiness in leading a Girl Scout troop, working with the Girls Auxiliary, as well as decorating for all holiday celebrations, especially Christmas.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and her sister, Victoria Caroline (Norris) Buchanan.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Larry; loving daughters, LaCinda Leigh (Taylor) Black and husband Mike, of Yukon, and Alecia Lynne (Taylor) Day and husband Christopher, of Oklahoma City; brothers, Bill Norris, and Scott Norris and wife Joy; brother-in-law Mark Buchanan and his son Gabriel; grandchildren, AshLynne (Prigmore) Cockrum and husband Austin, MaKenna Black, Anais Mabry and Carah Day, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers that spent time with Cindy over the years.

Viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the funeral home. Celebration of life services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 26th, 2025 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
