David Ray Penrod

David Ray Penrod passed away the evening of May 11, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Born May 28, 1963 to Ray and Melva Penrod in Santa Maria, CA. After many moves to numerous states, the family moved to Yukon, OK in Dec.1972. Dave graduated from Yukon High School in 1981, and went on to Study at OSU Tech in Okmulgee OK, where he achieved his associates degree in Auto Mechanics/Paint & Body. He worked in the industry his entire career until his retirement in 2022.

David is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Melva Penrod of Yukon.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Rae Penrod of OKC; Sisters, Shelly, and husband Tom Towns of Tuttle, Susan and husban Mark Sanders of Yukon; and Brother, Darren Penrod and wife Paula of OKC; Aunt Janice Collins of Loveland, OH; Nephews, Ryan Towns, Connor
Towns, Cody Sanders, Colin Penrod & Adam Penrod. Nieces, Myka and Elodie Gilliam, as well as numerous cousins.

David was an avid outdoorsman and spent much time alone with mother nature, pondering and "just thinking". Dave considered himself a free spirit, and did what he wanted when he wanted. He was a simple, sweet and humble man, and in his own words, would tell you, "he
preferred his own company". He was also a very stubborn man, and rarely accepted advise or help.

Dave believed in our Lord and savior, who has now taken him in his arms and resolved all his pain, hurt and battles he fought throughout
the years. We love you and will miss you dearly. Until we are reunited, RIP Dave, you definitely did things your way.
