Dennalee Heilaman

Dennalee (Holliday) Heilaman, 94 was the youngest of seven children, born December 20,1931, to Orval Kay and Daisy Frances (Ward) Holliday in Yukon, Oklahoma. She left this life to be with our savior, family, and friends on December 27, 2025. Dennalee was a lifelong resident of Yukon, a happy-go lucky, sometimes mischievous child who attended and graduated high school there. She married the love of her life, Ernest Ray Heilaman on January 21,1949. They spent 51 years together until his death in 2000. They were blessed with five daughters and one son.

Growing up, Dennalee babysat, did a few odd jobs and worked the soda fountain at the Corner Drug store. She saved money to purchase an electric sewing machine, which she later made clothes for herself, her family, many costumes for church and school programs and Halloween, household items and some upholstery. She taught her children, some grandchildren and some neighborhood children to sew with this machine. Her teaching has been a valuable gift to pass on to them. Later, when "Ernie" opened a meat processing business, Dennalee worked beside him as a meat wrapper.

Dennalee attended Yukon First Christian Church and participated in many activities there. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, bowling, dominoes, crafts, nature, spending time with family (especially grandchildren), friends and later traveling.

Dennalee is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Heilaman; sisters and their husbands, Hazel and Jake Odle, Dorthy and "Mutt" Mitchel, Ruby and Ray England, Marjorie and Otis Skinner; brothers and their wives, Willard and Wanda Holliday and Ivan and Margaret Holliday. She is also preceded in death by daughters, Karen Rice, Delores Reeb and husband Jim, and Shelly Barton and husband John; grandsons, David King and Daniel Haddock; granddaughter Amanda Locke, and great-grandson Jaxon Haddock.

Dennalee is survived by daughters, Nina King, and Anita Williams and husband Tommy; son Mark Heilaman; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 5, 2026, at First Christian Church, Yukon, Oklahoma, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, Oklahoma.
