Dennis Doyle Haxton

Dennis Doyle Haxton, 92, of Yukon, Oklahoma left this earth for his heavenly home on June 1, 2024. He was born June 11, 1931, to Ross and Catherine Haxton of Gotebo, Oklahoma.

Dennis married Jean Walker on January 2, 1955, in Mountain View, Oklahoma. Together they had three children Gary, Camy, and Cindy.

Dennis went to Oklahoma State University for one year. He then was called to serve his country as an Airmen First Class for the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After being discharged from the military he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, receiving his educational degree. That launched him into a 27-year career.

After retiring he enjoyed farming and ranching. He was also a lifetime member of the Cache Masonic Lodge.

Preceding Dennis in death were his parents; brother Phil Haxton; son Gary Haxton; grandson Todd Haxton; and great granddaughter Aubrey Marie Parks. He was survived by his wife Jean of 69 years; daughter Camy Hybsha and husband Allen; daughter Cindy Ann Haxton; grandchildren, Courtney Parks and husband Sam; Mindy Bowling and husband Blake; Ross Haxton and wife Emily; six great grandchildren Bryar, Joseph, Sarah, Asher, Hudson and Dawson.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 3, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Yanda and Son Funeral Home in Yukon. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Gotebo Cemetery in Gotebo, Oklahoma. A gathering of friends and family will be held directly after the service at the First Baptist Church of Gotebo.
