Dennis Eugene Pape

Dennis Eugene Pape, aged 81, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on November 3, 2024. Born on September 8, 1943, Dennis lived a life marked by unwavering dedication to both his country and his family. His legacy of service, hard work, and love will be remembered by all who knew him.

Dennis proudly served in the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps, completing eight years of military service—four years in each branch. His commitment to duty was matched only by his strong work ethic in civilian life, where he worked as a Diesel Mechanic for over 40 years. His knowledge, skills, and dedication to his craft were respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Above all, Dennis was known for his caring nature and devotion to those he loved. His life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, loyalty, and kindness. He was a loving husband to his wife, Donna Pape, and a proud father to his children. He took great joy in being a grandfather to 13 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one great-grandchild, cherishing each moment spent with them.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Kaiser; father, James E. Pape; twin sister, Diane Pape; sister, Marilyn Purcell; and daughter, Emily Bordovsky.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Pape; son, Brandon Pape; daughter, Amy Bundick; stepdaughter, Heather Douglas; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His family, who were the center of his world, will miss him dearly.

Dennis's life was one of profound commitment to family, country, and community. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, located at 1500 W. Vandament Ave., Yukon, OK 73099. A graveside service will take place the following day, Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK.
