Deshawn Wayne Kalin

Deshawn Wayne Kalin, 20, passed away January 10, 2024 in Yukon, OK. He was born January 15, 2003 in El Reno, OK, before first coming to Yukon in April 2003. Moving to Mustang, OK in September 2003, he then moved back to Yukon in November 2023.

He was baptized at Town & Country Christian Church in Yukon and has attended the church since he was three months old. He attended Mustang High School and Canadian Valley Technology Center. Deshawn played baseball as a youth, loved music and liked to rap.

Deshawn is survived by his parents, Jim and Louise Kalin of Yukon; sisters, Marilyn Kalin and Jesse Love of Edmond, Angel Kalin of Yukon, Rhonda Balthrop and Charles of Yukon, and Tina Thompson and Matt of Yukon; brother, Curtis Wallis and Kelly of Midwest City; siblings, Dezion Johnson of Oklahoma City, Malackhai Wolfe of Anadarko, Tionna Gordon of South Dakota, Lilianea Rose Pollock of Oklahoma City, and Hannah Howe of Oklahoma City; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by sibling Clarence Johnson, III.

Viewing will be held at Yanda and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Town and Country Christian Church in Yukon, OK on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery.
