Diana Lea Dawkins

Diana Lea Dawkins, 56, wife of David Dawkins II, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 at her home in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Born in Oklahoma City on November 24,1967, to David E. Henderson and D. Darlene Knight, she is the youngest of three children. Diana graduated from Putnam City High School in 1986 and went on to attend The University of Central Oklahoma, where she met her husband David Dawkins II and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education. Diana was married to David Dawkins II for 32 years. David and Diana have two children, Ryan Dawkins and Madison Synan. She was blessed with five wonderful grandchildren. Diana's love and devotion for her family was evident by those who knew her. She was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grammy, and Aunt. She loved family game nights, family trips, movie nights, and anything that brought her family together. She treasured and embraced every moment with her loved ones.

Diana was known for her vivacious personality and love for all things Scentsy and Disney. She became an Independent Super Star consultant and held that title for 13 years. She often referred to herself as the "Wax Boss". Additionally, she was a Disney Travel Planner and loved sharing her passion for travel and planning other's dream vacations to her favorite place on earth, Disney World. She also worked as a Marketing Coordinator for KG Realty. Diana and David are long time members of Life.Church in Yukon. She loved the Lord, and her life was a living example of her faith. She had a faith that could move mountains. At every opportunity, Diana would share her faith to anyone who would listen, including her doctors. Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

Diana is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Dawkins II; her two children, Ryan (Maddy), Madison (Preston); five grandchildren, Branson, Emme, Miles, Leo, and Elijah; niece, Katey Dawkins; nephew, Michael Dawkins; mother, D. Darlene Knight (Rick); brother, Danny Henderson; Sister, Debra Russell (Rian) and other beloved family members.

Diana was preceded in death by her loving father, David E. Henderson and wonderful Mother in-law Edna Orviletta Dawkins.

The family asks that you wear blue in honor of Colon Cancer Awareness. A service will be held on July 27, 2024 at Life.Church in Yukon at 2:00 P.M.
