Dodd Olner Kirk, Jr.

Dodd Olner Kirk, Jr. passed away on November 8, 2023, in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was born to Louise and Dodd Kirk in Houston, Texas on October 9, 1938.

Dodd enlisted in the United States Marine Corp at the age of 17 and proudly served his country for 8 1/2 years. He married his bride, Becky, in 1980. They grew their family with their son Kelley Joe, along with daughters Kari and Julie. Dodd loved his family with all his heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He particularly enjoyed his grandchildren Jackson, Gwyn, and Becky Lynn. He also loved his great nephews, Brance and Shane. His passions included animal rescue, #freetheparakeets! Dodd's life may have been shortened by Lewy Body Dementia, but his legacy of love will be felt by those who loved him. He was comforted knowing God's arms were opened and waiting for his journey to lead him home.

Dodd is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Becky Kirk, son Kelley (Jessica) Kirk, daughters Kari and Julie, sister Linda (Jim) Englis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and those he considered family: Keola Slane, Leea and Shane Upchurch, Austin Upchurch and Kayla Barstow.
