Donald Robert Barker Ii

Donald Robert Barker II, 69, passed away on December 26, 2025 in Yukon, OK. He was born in Reno, NV to Irma (Barker) Welch and Donald Barker on November 21, 1956.

Don graduated high school in Gwinn, MI and attended Oklahoma State University, where he was an active member of the Acacia Fraternity. In 1990, he made his home in Abilene, TX. For many years, Don worked as an operations manager at Sears and ended his career at Blue Cross Blue Shield. He volunteered often within his community. His commitment to helping others and giving back was an important part of his life.

Don was a strong man who faced and overcame many battles throughout his life. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need, the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He was a loyal friend and a steady presence to those around him.

Don enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling, watching Dallas Cowboys football, volunteering, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with his family. He was a loved father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and proud Grampy who cherished his family.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald Robert Barker.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Powers and husband, Trey, of Yukon, OK, and Kandace Reedy and husband, Danny, of Mustang, OK; his mother, Irma Welch of Sparks, NV; his stepmother, Alene Barker of Pocatello, ID; his sister, Debra Barker of Sparks, NV; his brother, Joseph Barker of Pocatello, ID; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Challis and fiancé Tori Beasley, Joshua Challis, Braven Anderson, and Leah and Layton Powers; his former wife, Kathy Barker of Oklahoma City and her daughter, Jessica Hietpas of Sapulpa, OK.

Per Don's wishes, there will be no services held for the public.
