Donald "Don" Lee Barton

Donald “Don” Lee Barton was born March 27, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life on June 20, 2026 in Yukon, Oklahoma.

One of the greatest blessings of Don’s life was the love he shared with his wife, Betty. Together they built a beautiful life and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 1. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, commitment, and partnership. Don also cherished the lifelong friendships he shared with his “6 Pack” friends, Bill and Cherie Logan and Danny and Joy Rose. Together they spent decades traveling, making memories, and enjoying countless adventures.

Don was incredibly proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved them dearly, and his face would light up whenever they were around. He was known affectionately as “Grandpa,” “Papa,” or “Pops.” To Don, family extended far beyond blood relations—you did not have to be related to be considered family.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Betty Barton; his daughter, Melissa “Missy” Grant, and her husband, Shawn; his daughter-in-law, Melinda Barton; his grandchildren, Devon Grant and wife Shanna, Nathan Grant, Blayne Barton and wife Allison, and Bailey Barton; and his great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Kendra, and Teagan Grant, and Emmersyn, Blakesli, Deliah, and Amariah Barton. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Betty Barton, and his beloved son, Ben Barton. The family finds comfort in knowing that Don’s adventures continue beyond this life and that the memories he created will be cherished forever.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, at First Christian Church in Yukon.
