Douglas "Doug" Allen Bakke

Douglas "Doug" Allen Bakke, 61, passed away on June 25, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on February 8, 1965, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to the late Arlen and Bernice (Mathews) Bakke.

Doug was employed by AT&T as a cable splicer for 28 years. He served as president of CWA Local 6009 and was a charter member of the OKC Freedom Riders, where he held the position of Sergeant-at-Arms this year. In addition to his parents, Doug was also preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Bakke, and his niece, Megan Henson; his Doberman, Murphy, and many other fur babies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Barbara Bakke; his sweet Doberman Tank, as well as numerous relatives and many friends.

A celebration of Doug's life will be held at a later date.
