Dovie Jane Gregory

Graveside services will be held for Dovie Jane Cathey Gregory at Boggy Depot Cemetery, Atoka County OK, on Tuesday June 18th, 2024, at 11am with Rev. Anthony Williams officiating.

Dovie died Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in Oklahoma City OK.  She was born May 21, 1944, in Clovis NM to Bill O. and Flora L. Cathey.

She lived most of her life in Oklahoma and N. Texas.  Before her retirement Dovie had many careers throughout her life, the most prominent being a Realtor and Home Health caretaker.

Dovie enjoyed spending time with family, crocheting, and puzzles.  She was able to travel during the 1970's while living in Germany.  Paris and Switzerland were two of her favorite trips.

Dovie was preceded in death by her parents Bill O. and Flora L. Cathey, sister and brother-in-law Billie Ann and Ray Pettett, brother-in-law Ray McKay, and daughter Sheila Jane Stevenson.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Frank and Tammi Gregory, son and daughter-in-law Tony and Ginger Gregory, daughter and son-in-law Cammy and Steve Jones, brothers, Marshall O. and Roy Dean Cathey, and sister Madge B. McKay.

Dovie was blessed to be the grandmother (Gurney) to 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
