Frances Elizabeth Mayes

Frances Mayes (Harris) was born in Marshall, Arkansas on July 26, 1926 to David and Pearl Rosenbam.  She passed from this earth on July 26, 2023, on her 97th Birthday. Frances had five brothers who all predeceased her. She married Audie Harris in 1942, and moved to Yukon, OK in 1948.

She is also preceded in death by three children, Larry Harris, Ricky Harris and Deborah Sherman, and two grandsons, Mike Harris and Shawn Thompson.  Frances is survived by her son, Billy Harris and wife Teresa, and daughter, Shirlie Thompson, both of Yukon, OK; 12 grand-kids, 24 great-grandkids and 20 great-great grandkids.

Frances retired from Altec in 1992.  Some of her favorite hobbies were taking care of her yard, flowers and trees.  She also enjoyed crafts, sewing and making quilts. Frances had a special talent making quilts, producing some of the most beautiful and unique one's ever made.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 31, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
