Fred "Bud" Steven Hanger

Fred Hanger passed away at Teal Creek Assisted Living Center on May 20, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on September 15, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Fred was the son of Hallie Comet Hanger and Gwendolyn Burnett Hanger. He received his education at Oklahoma City and Putnam City schools. Fred dedicated himself to working alongside his wife in their businesses and was the owner of Western Systems. Throughout his life, Fred was faithful to his Lord. He was a cherished member of Discovery Church, where he actively participated in various church activities, including long-term service as a Board Member. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceding Fred in death were his wife, Genoa Hanger;  sister, Gwendolyn Kay Hanger; and daughter, Debi Lewis.

Fred is survived by his daughter, Diana Biggs, and son-in-law, Chris Biggs. Fred is also survived by his grandchildren: Jason, Dustin, and Derek Biggs; and Cody and Cayla Lewis; and his great grandchildren Rylan and Rose Biggs, Kailee and Josie Biggs, Hunter and Kailyn Lewis.

A memorial service honoring Fred's life will take place at Discovery Church in Yukon, Oklahoma, on May 29 at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Kevin Fouts, Kendall Dillon, and Cayla Lewis. Following the service, Fred will be laid to rest at Frisco Cemetery in Yukon, Oklahoma.
