Gary Allen Flynn

Gary Allen Flynn, 74, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was born on February 7, 1952, in Oklahoma City and was raised in Yukon, Oklahoma where he spent most of his life raising his family.

Gary dedicated more than 40 years of his career to the Federal Aviation Administration, where he worked as an avionics engineer. He took great pride in his work and in the career, he built over the years.

Gary enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, playing Bridge with his friends, and going to the movies. Most of all, he cherished his family and the time he spent with them. He took great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow and was proud of each of them.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Darleen Ford; his father, William J. Flynn; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Flynn and Ozzie Flynn.

He is survived by his mother-in-law, Zola Harvison; his wife, Lydia Flynn; his daughter, Becky Flynn, and her son, Drew Dunlap; his daughter, Amy Flynn, and her husband, Rodney Hearon, their children, Brock Flynn and Morgan Llaverias, and granddaughter, Ari Jones; his daughter, Erin Hall, and her husband, Thomas Hall, and their sons, Sutton and Fisher Hall; and his son, Michael Flynn, and his wife, Mariah Flynn, and their sons, Harvey and Apollo Flynn; and siblings, his brother, Steve Flynn and his wife Angela, his sister, Carol Holleyman and her husband, Bob, and his sister, Meg Robinson and her husband, Don.

Gary will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love of family and friends, and the countless memories he created throughout his life. His family was the center of his world, and he leaves behind those who loved him deeply and will carry his memory with them always.

A viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 2 from 5-7pm at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, Oklahoma.

Gary’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
