Georgiann Lambert

Georgiann was born on September 19, 1936, to George Eddie and Genevieve Montgomery in Seminole, Oklahoma. She had a happy childhood, blessed by her loving and devoted parents.

She graduated from Seminole High School and briefly attended the University of Oklahoma.

Georgiann had four children whom she adored—Debbie, Stefanie, Leigh, and Phillip. She loved them fiercely, and they were her whole world. Her friends and coworkers would say she talked about them and bragged on them all the time. Her grandchildren became just as precious to her, and she always carried pictures of them.

She worked with The March of Dimes, Chrysler Credit Corporation, and finally Integris Baptist Hospital. She enjoyed working with the people she met and made many lasting friendships.

Georgiann was known for orchestrating and celebrating any and every occasion in a wonderful way with her children, and everyone was welcomed into their home.

When Georgiann met Jim, he matched her exuberance for family and fun, and they began their many years of enjoying life together. They continued the traditions she always loved, and together they brought more friends and more celebrations into the family Georgiann loved so very much.

When her family could no longer give her the care she needed, Georgiann was welcomed with open arms into Warr Acres Nursing Center. In the midst of the pandemic, the nurses and every single staff member cared for her as their own. They loved her, and she loved them right back. They became family.

Before Georgiann passed away, she was surrounded by love, prayers, family, and friends. She will be remembered as someone who always stopped what she was doing in order to do something for others.

Georgiann is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Genevieve Montgomery; her husband, Jim Howard; and her daughter, Stefanie Russell. She is survived by her children, Debbie and Robert Dudley, Leigh Leary, and Phillip and Tracie Lambert. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nick, Whitney, PJ, Lucas, Micah, Emily, Sydney, and Eli. She leaves behind many great-grandchildren and extended family members whom she held close to her heart.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Yukon, Oklahoma. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Yukon Cemetery in Yukon, Oklahoma.
