Glendella Williams

Glendella (Del) Williams left her home in Edmond on January 13, 2025, to be with Jesus in Heaven. Del was born on May 5, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Glen and Betty (York) Jennings. Del attended Classen High School and graduated in 1962.

Del married Gary Williams on June 15, 1973, in her parents' home in Oklahoma City. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2023. Del and Gary rededicated their lives to Christ after their marriage and moved to Edmond to be closer to their church. They were members of Grace New Life Church, where Del taught Sunday school for many years. Later, they switched their membership to Cathedral of Praise Church in Oklahoma City, where they served as deacons until they left in 2001.

Their son, Matt, told them about a new church in Edmond that they would like, and that was their introduction to Life.Church, a journey that lasted for 24 years. Del and Gary joined the Life.Church Oklahoma City campus in February 2001. Together, they served as volunteers until Del's health prevented her from serving any longer. For years, Del was part of a women's Bible study/prayer group that she helped start. She was always a dedicated woman of prayer and a woman of great faith. She let her grandsons and great grandkids know that she preferred to be called GranDel instead of Grandma.

Del was preceded in death by her grandparents and her parents, Glen and Betty. She is survived by her husband, Gary, and son, Mathew, of the home; daughter, Robin Graham (Cody) of Guthrie, OK; grandson, Taylor Lair of Midland, TX; grandson, Cole Lair (Courtney); great-granddaughters, Bailey and Emmiline; and great-grandson, Logan, all of Surprise, AZ; brother, Max Jennings of John Day, OR; half-brother, Greg Jennings of John Day, OR; and half-brother, Mark Jennings of Broomfield, CO.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Mercy Home Health and Hospice for their care of Del during her last days. Memorial contributions may be made to the Life.Church Local and Global Missions programs or to Samaritan's Purse.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Life.Church, 2001 N.W. 178th St., Edmond, OK 73012.
