Glynda Louise Chesser

Glynda Louise Chesser, 79 of Yukon, OK passed away peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning April 8, 2025. She was born on December 5, 1945, in Oklahoma City. Glynda graduated from Classen High School in 1964 and studied Art at Oklahoma State University. Her hobbies included puzzles, reading, crossword fill-ins, Korean dramas and spending time with her family and friends. Glynda's true passion was creating gifts. She was well known for her many artistic talents such as painting, charcoal portraits, ceramics and quilting. She instilled that passion and love for creation in her children, grandchildren and great grandson Trey.

As a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, her presence and unwavering support will be deeply missed. Nevertheless, her spirit will continue to live on through the lives of those she touched. Glynda was preceded in death by her parents George and Kathryn Chesser and Brother Kenneth Chesser. She is survived by son David Maddox Jr.; daughter Kristi Free; granddaughters, Kasey Gray, Shelbi Avery, Amanda Zundell, Marissa Maddox-Free; grandson Joshua Maddox, and great grandson Jerry "Trey" Avery.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Del View Baptist Church, 2500 S. Bryant Ave., Del City, OK 73115. Flowers and cards may be sent to 18600 Lillie Drive, Newalla, OK 74857.
