Grace Lee Fitzgerald

Our dear mother Grace Lee Fitzgerald sadly passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 94. Born May 17, 1929, in Bethany, Oklahoma to George W. and Velmar Ford, Grace was a proud graduate of Putnam City High School. She married the love of her life, Max Wayne Fitzgerald, in July of 1949. He preceded her in death in 2014 after 65 years of marriage.

Grace is survived by her two daughters Regina and Shelley, daughter-in-law Sally Fitzgerald, three granddaughters, Amber, Tiana, Laney plus two great grandchildren along with her brother-in-law and wife Jerry and Carol Fitzgerald. Grace is preceded by her son, Rodney, sister, Sybble and brothers Henry and Leo.

Grace loved people and never met a person she didn't want to know. She was active in her church at the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Yukon. She loved to cook and was a champion pie baker. She shared her gift by giving pie demonstrations. Her favorite pie was lemon meringue. She also loved bowling, playing cards, and watching her daughter Shelley ride horses. Most of all, she loved her family. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her and will be forever in our hearts.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday September 26, at 2:00 P.M., at the Resurrection Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Resurrection Lutheran Church, 675 N. Vandament, Yukon, Oklahoma 73099.
