Howard Olen Willis

Howard Olen Willis, Jr. was born July 29, 1963 in Oklahoma City, OK to Howard "Bo" and Peggy Willis. He passed away at his home in El Reno, OK on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, with his wife Lisa at his side. He grew up in Oklahoma City and then moved to Piedmont where he graduated high school in 1981. He finished high school with proud honors as Ag president, and then attended Redlands Community College. He worked as a welder at C.E. Page Airport, owned the Outdoor Sportsman Fish and Tackle Shop and fished professionally for Berkeley, owned ProDrywall and was a CDL truck driver for CSI.

Growing up Howard was a country boy through and through, and loved growing up on a farm. His hobbies included coon hunting, fishing, riding horses and scaring his little sister with snakes. He loved riding dirt bikes and motorcycles and in his words "had the best childhood ever". He participated in FFA and loved showing Steers and Hogs. He loved sports and started wrestling at 4 years old, playing every sport, excelling at each one of them. He loved competition whether it was arm wrestling or a foot race, and was always out to win.

Howard loved raising roosters and cockfighting. With his dad by his side they competed at the highest level of cockfighting and achieved more than most others have in this sport; most notably the Las Vegas and Hawaiian Derbies.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Bo and Peggy Willis.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Willis; daughter, Meagan Willis; bonus son, Morgan and wife Kalisha Humes; sister, Sherri Stoneking; sister, Deana and husband Steven Delk; father and mother-in-law, Jimmie and Patsy Richardson; grandchildren, Laycee, River, Taylor, and London, and Bonus granddaughter, Payton.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK. A private interment will be held at a later date at the Erick Cemetery, Erick, OK.
