Irene Irma Zamanski

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Irene Irma Zamanski, 92, of Lawton, Oklahoma, who departed this life on February 2, 2025. Irene was born on August 4, 1932, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, to Matthew and Catherine (Barnovich) Radko.

In 1953, Irene married the love of her life, Frank Zamanski. Together, they embarked on a new chapter, moving to Alaska for six months while Frank served in the army. Their marriage spanned 63 years, filled with love, adventure, and shared memories. In 1978, they settled in Yukon, Oklahoma, where they became an integral part of the community.

A woman of many talents, Irene began her career as a waitress before transitioning into accounting and medical office work. In her later years, she found great joy in her beloved pastime of baking, creating delicious treats for family and friends alike.

Irene and Frank shared a love for travel, often exploring destinations overseas, visiting Las Vegas, and enjoying the beauty of Hawaii. She was a devoted member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, where she found comfort and strength in her faith.

Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, and her parents, Matthew and Catherine Radko. She is survived by her three children, Gary Zamanski of Yukon, Oklahoma, Janet Nicolle of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Cindy Chronister and her husband Michael of Lawton, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alan Chronister and his wife Monica, Michael Renuard, Elisha Harris, and Jeremy Zamanski. Irene's legacy continues through her ten great-grandchildren: Madelyn Chronister, Adam Chronister, Maegan Chronister, Chance Golden, Destiny Golden, Cayden Golden, Zane Zamanski, Zeke Zamanski, Dylan Renuard, and Christopher Renuard. Irene is also survived by her sister, June Bickerstaff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, Oklahoma, with interment to follow at Yukon Cemetery.
