James Derrick Hale

James Derrick “Chno” Hale was born on August 6, 1973, in Houston, Texas, and passed from this life on Thursday, April 9, 2026 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He spent much of his childhood raising hell in Colorado Springs before eventually settling down in Oklahoma. Chno was a devoted family man, though he firmly believed that family was defined by love and loyalty—not by blood alone.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Erick “Sinister” Rios, who now rides with him in the afterlife, and Daniel Pennington of the Church of the IV Crown Princes. He is survived by his daughter, Valyntyne Landsberger; his grandson, Lochlan Hale; his wife, Shelbie “Turtle” Combs; the Naimans MC; and countless brothers and sisters too many to name.

Chno will be remembered for how deeply he loved. He was always there for his family, proving it through his actions rather than words. His strength, will, and determination defined him—if there wasn’t a way, he made one. A man unlike any other, he will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. He truly lived life his way.

His life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Oklahoma.
