James Wayne Neihouse

James Wayne Neihouse, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home on July 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

James was born on May 24, 1940, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to John and Estelle Neihouse. He proudly served in the Arkansas Air National Guard during the 60’s.

Following his military service, James built a successful career in the printing industry, where he owned and operated his own printing business for many years in Fort Smith. He later continued his career with MEMC Electronics in St. Peters, Missouri. where he was a dedicated employee until his retirement. Outside of work, James enjoyed stock car races, baseball, football and listening to music. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and the love he had for his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John and Estelle Neihouse.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Selma Neihouse; his son, Todd W. Neihouse and wife, Katie, and their children, Clayton and Keeven; his daughter, Renae Teague and husband, David, and their children, Brittany and Dustin; his great-grandchildren, Linlee, Ava and Cayden; and his sisters, Vera Douthitt and Peggy Shipley.

James leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

James will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas at a later date.
