James Rodney "Rod" Sumrall

James Rodney “Rod” Sumrall, 87, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026.

Rod was born on March 16, 1939, in Bogata, Texas, to William and Ruby Sumrall. He was a resident of Yukon, Oklahoma.

In 1957, Rod married his high school sweetheart, Lona Sumrall. Together, they built a loving family and shared many cherished years.

Rod was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Lona; three children; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Town & Country Christian Church in Yukon, Oklahoma.
