Jeffrey Aaron Covert

Jeffrey Aaron Covert, 52, of Yukon, Oklahoma, took his final flight on September 13, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on May 3, 1971, he soared through life as a Licensed Aviation A&P Mechanic for Skywest Airlines, making sure planes were always flying high.

Before Jeffrey was working on planes, he was banging on drums, diving into the depths of the sea, and helping artists sound their best. He had a rhythm for life and a love for adventure that kept him marching to the beat of his own drum.

Survived by his loving wife Denita M. Covert, who was the wind beneath his wings and the turbulence in his skies; his two dogs and adopted cat; his parents, William W. and Valerie K. Covert, who were his biggest fans from Yukon, Oklahoma, and his uncle Darrell E. Covert who was always there to lend an ear, all the way from Canton, Ohio. He now joins his paternal grandparents, Darrell J. and Kathleen Covert, and maternal grandparents, Robert F. and Peggy A. Niemeyer, in the grand symphony of the afterlife. He was also preceded by his closest friend and partner in crime Gregory Clobes, may they now forever dive to the depths of the Pacific Ocean together.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel, 500 W. Vandament, Yukon, Oklahoma. Yanda & Son Funeral Home will provide a harmonious send-off for our beloved Jeffrey.

As we bid adieu to Jeffrey Aaron Covert, let us remember his zest for life and the melodies he left behind. May he continue to rock on in the celestial skies, forever drumming up joy and adventure.  His love for life and sweet compassion will be forever missed by family and all who knew him.
