Jerry Dee Casey

Jerry "Dee" Casey went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2026. He was born August 3, 1935, in Vian, Oklahoma, to Sherman and Alta Casey. He graduated from Vian High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from East Central University on a basketball scholarship.

Dee began his career teaching math before returning to school to earn his degree in Secondary Administration. He later served as Assistant Principal with Yukon Public Schools. With over 53 years in education, he faithfully dedicated his life to serving students and supporting fellow educators. He was known for his steady leadership, kind spirit, and the way he treated others with respect. He was truly loved by those who knew him.

Dee was a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life. He also had a great sense of humor and was always looking for ways to spread joy and laughter to those around him. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, bird watching, following basketball, and building projects with his hands. He found joy in simple things and especially in time spent with his family. He will be remembered for his faith, his steady presence, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Alta Casey; his brothers, James, Bobby, and Bill Casey; and his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Carol Maynard.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Casey; his sons, Jeff Casey (Barbara) and Gregg Casey (Lisa); his stepchildren, Amy Thompson (Rich) and Brian Leatherwood; his grandchildren, Kamryn Seale, Kinzie Seale, Jillian Casey, Kristen Haggard, Ashley Hays (Nathaniel), and Sean Casey (Chrissy); and his great-grandchildren, Aryia, Sawyer, Aiden, Emma, SJ, Zane, Alexi, Mason, Teagan, and Karson.

A viewing will be held at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, 1500 W Vandament Ave, Yukon, OK, on Tuesday, March 3rd from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Yanda & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m., with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
