Jerry George Pellar

Jerry George Pellar, 76, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at his home. Jerry was born on December 13, 1946, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Sylvester George and Evelyn June (Vasicek) Pellar. He attended school in Union City and El Reno. Jerry grew up working on his grandparent's farm in Canadian County. After marrying, he raised his family in Yukon. Jerry worked for Lucent Technology where he received perfect attendance for many years and retiring after thirty years of dedicated service. He then spent his retirement years in Eufaula. Jerry was a volunteer firefighter for the FAIC Fire Department in Checotah (Fountainhead Area Improvement Council).

He is survived by his son, James Earl Pellar and wife Traci (Henderson) Pellar of Eufaula; brother, Larry Pellar of El Reno, and four grandchildren: Hunter Pellar, Jaci Pellar, Madisyn Heimbach, and MacKenzie Shieldnight. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Helen Vasicek; parents, Sylvester and Evelyn Pellar, and daughters, Kim Pellar and Tammy Shieldnight.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK.
