Jewell Louise Fent

Jewell Louise Fent was born on September 2, 1933, in Wayne, at the family homestead. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Oklahoma City at the age of 92.

Louise spent most of her early life in Oklahoma City, with the exception of several years during World War II, when her family relocated to Corpus Christi due to her father’s work as an electrician. After returning to Oklahoma City, she graduated from Classen High School in 1951.

She went on to attend Central State College in Edmond, where she met the love of her life, Arthur B. Fent, Jr. The couple married on December 23, 1953, and shared a devoted and happy marriage until Art’s passing in 2009.

Together, Louise and Art enjoyed traveling extensively, visiting destinations around the world, including Russia, Switzerland, and Italy. Professionally, Louise had a long and accomplished career with Singer-Fleischaker Oil Operations Company, where she managed oil and gas operations and properties for many affiliated companies.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Fent, Jr.; her parents, Henry Clay Wilmoth and Jewell Lee May Wilmoth; her siblings, Henry Clay Wilmoth, Jr., Doris E. Ogden, Bette L. Brooks, James D. Wilmoth, and Diana S. Tucker; and her brothers-in-law, H. Donald Fent and Jerry R. Fent.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
