Jimmy "Jim" Ervin Weaver

Jimmy "Jim" Ervin Weaver passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the early morning hours of January 17, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on July 7, 1936, in Sterling, Oklahoma, to the late Anne (Summers) Weaver and Leslie Weaver.

Jim graduated from Putnam City High School and later from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. In 1955, he married his high school sweetheart, Melva "Crump" Weaver, and together they raised three children: Gayle, Steve, and Gary.

Jim was a successful businessman who was always looking for ways to support his family while also creating opportunities for others. In 1972, he opened United Pharmacy on Main Street in Yukon, Oklahoma, later expanding to three additional pharmacy locations. He also helped establish the Yukon Convalescent Center and went on to start Jim Weaver Construction, through which he built many homes and provided rental housing for numerous families in the community.

In his later years, Jim could often be found enjoying morning coffee with his closest friends — Ken Jacobs, Buddy Carpenter, Garren Dodson, and Keith Cherry, just to name a few — where they would catch up on town gossip or, as they liked to say, "solve the world's problems."

Jim loved to work and took great pride in making sure everyone was taken care of — not only his family, but also the many people he met along the way. He had a gift for taking people under his wing and giving them opportunities they may never have had otherwise. Through his businesses and relationships, he helped launch many successful careers and found deep joy in providing for others. He wanted to stay busy and working for as long as he possibly could.

Jim lived by Acts 20:35:
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melva Weaver, parents, Anne and Leslie Weaver, and by his son, Gary Weaver.

He is survived by his children, Gayle Weaver-Ennis and Steve Weaver and his wife Diane; grandchildren, Matt Ennis and wife Traci, Bryan Weaver and wife Lynsey, Brett Weaver, and Sean Ennis and wife Carly; and great-grandchildren, Bayler Weaver, Steeler Ennis, Ames Ennis, Braxton Weaver, Brooks Weaver, Emma Ennis, and Ezra Ennis.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Yukon Cemetery.
