Jody Lynn Sparks

Jody Lynn Sparks transitioned to glory on May 11, 2025, at the age of 50.  Jody was born to Coy and Cathy Sparks on April 27, 1975, and grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Yukon High School in 1993.  A talented athlete, he earned a full-ride football scholarship to the University of Tulsa, where he continued to make his family proud both on and off the field.

He followed in the footsteps of his father, becoming co-owner of Country Equipment in both Yukon and Tuttle.  He was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty to his family, and his unwavering integrity in business and in life.

Jody is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 23 years, Kelly Sparks; his mother Cathy Sparks; sisters: Jaime Hall and husband Doug, Taylor Spain and husband Jeremiah, and Kayln Khalaf and husband Shane, and stepmother Cindy Diedtrich and husband Dennis.  He is also remembered fondly by his in-laws Kim and Doris Beshears; brothers-in-law, Chris Beshears and wife Tammy, and Jake Beshears and wife Kristina; and a host of nieces and nephews who adored him:  Kayla, Kyler, Zachary, Gavyn, Evan, Cash, Cooper, McKenleigh, Olivia, and Emery.

He was baptized July 26, 2020, by his father-in-law and was an active member of the South Yukon Church of Christ.  He was an avid sports fan who found joy in watching the Houston Astros and cheering on his nephews in their own athletic endeavors. He loved the game of golf and cherished time spent with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Sparks, his grandmother, Sylvia Sparks, and grandfather Coy Gilbert Sparks.

Jody's legacy is one of devotion, kindness, and perseverance.  He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at South Yukon Church of Christ, 11700 N.W. 10th St., Yukon, OK.
