Joe Lee Roy Powers, Sr.

Joe Lee Roy Powers Sr. was born on November 9, 1959, to Emmitt Sr. and Joe Ann Powers in Sentinel, Oklahoma. He passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Macomb, Oklahoma.

Joe loved spending time outdoors—hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and listening to music whenever he could. A true jack of all trades, he was always working with his hands. Throughout his life he worked in construction, machinery, delivery services, and later in home health care. Joe was a simple, good ol' country boy at heart, and he loved wholeheartedly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Sr. and Joe Ann Powers; his brother, Emmitt Powers Jr.; his sister, Debbie Powers Creed; and his youngest son, Samuel Powers.

Joe is survived by his son, Joe Powers Jr., and wife Monica; his daughter, Anona Leiter, and son-in-law Dustin Leiter; his daughter, Rachel Buckley, and son-in-law Zac Buckley; and his daughter, Searae Mitchell. He is also survived by his ex-wife Debbie Kilgore and their daughter Mary, and by his ex-wife Joan Waters. Joe leaves behind his longtime girlfriend and the love of his heart, Cari Williams, along with her children, Amanda, Vista, and Marly.

Joe is also survived by his grandchildren: Jeremy and Kaci; James and Josie; Christopher and Jada; Kaydyn; June; Sylvia; Sabrina; Jake; Amelia; Annabelle; Max; Isaac; Rachel; Brianna; Teresa; and Nevaeh. He is survived as well by many nieces and nephews, to whom he was often more like a father.

A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the funeral home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at 2:00 p.m. at Port Cemetery in Port, Oklahoma.
